We hope that this award can add a lot to Hungarian culture as besides Golden Globe the Academy Award now we have a local source that allows us to make a a note how much we like the movies that we've just seen. Box Office success that the movies made here must be an indicator of a motion picture's being popular too but it's not a 100% about aesthetics and it won't necessarily tell all that a movie can mean to people. 
So the thought was to give some free space to this matter  and let "local" critics in association with "local" movie-goers (we all) see "how much we liked 'em" - the movies of the previous year. 
By the presence of this simple award we wish to highlight that movies shown and seen here and not only about private leisure time (for many) but also about the movies that we've seen - we mean our culture that we live in. 
In short: finally we local audiences and critics came even to the movies that we see, since from now it's not just the (great) movies that have their opinions about us (how much they made here) but vice versa we can talk back - "how much we liked 'em" .
The next Csapnivalo Awards is going to happen same time next year, January 21.
